My Project

As a teacher in a school district with a large percentage of economically disadvantaged children, I see that my students, sometimes have a difficult time putting learning first. I teach three sections of fourth-grade mathematics. Two of those class sections are inclusion classes, with both regular and special education students. They enjoy being challenged, and they work together the way I encourage them to: as a team.

However, in 2024, our school district reduced teachers' supply budgets by 75%!

These budgets were already very small.

As a veteran teacher who has been in the game for 27 years, I have had new life breathed into my classroom lessons with the help of Teachers Pay Teachers. The educators on that website are at the top of their game creatively, and are more technologically savvy than I can ever hope to be!

I thank you for considering my project. It is through the generosity of those who fund Donors Choose projects, that teachers in under-funded and economically disadvantaged districts can continue to provide a positive classroom experience.
