Basic Supplies for Every Budding Scientist

Help me give my students equitable access to basic school supplies and a pouch to hold them! My students are mostly free and reduced lunch kids who do not have access to these items outside of school.

My Project

I teach science to mostly free and reduced lunch students. There is a great deal of disparity between students. Many of my students lack the resources to have personal school supplies. The science curriculum used at my school emphasizes SEPs (science and engineering practices). Students develop and use models to explain their learning.

Funding this project would allow all students access to their own, personal school supplies that can be used both during class and when working at home to revise and design models.

At this time, students are sharing a class set of markers that can only be used during my class period. I would like every student to have the supplies necessary for making and using models at home and during resource times. Currently, most of my students do not have the financial resources do purchase them.
