My Project
I teach 25 lower-income students living in Rosedale, Queens. Our school focuses on technology, math and science. My students are 90% Black, 5% Hispanic, and 5% Asian. We are doing great projects and learning in the classroom but are lacking basic resources in order to execute their creative visions. We lack pencils, markers, colored pencils, construction paper, etc. I've worked in many schools and am saddened that the resources aren't standardized, but the tests are. My students are smart and deserve access to materials that will help them show what they know. We'd so appreciate your help and generosity. Thank you!
