This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our Biology classroom, learning goes far beyond just reading a textbook. We rely on interactive notebooks, visual diagrams, and hands-on activities to help students truly understand complex biological concepts. To make this kind of learning possible, we are in need of basic classroom supplies such as blank paper, cardstock, highlighters, binders, and dividers.

Blank paper and cardstock allow students to create diagrams, graphic organizers, and study visuals that bring Biology to life.

Whether they’re sketching the parts of a cell, making food webs, or building models of DNA, having quality paper materials supports creativity, engagement, and deeper understanding. Highlighters are essential tools for developing reading comprehension and scientific literacy, helping students identify key vocabulary and draw connections within dense scientific texts.

Binders and dividers play a huge role in keeping students organized and on track. With so much content in Biology—from ecosystems and genetics to human anatomy and biochemistry—students benefit from a structured system to keep their notes, handouts, and assignments sorted and accessible. These tools help build academic habits that prepare students not only for success in science but for lifelong learning.
