Basic Supplies Are Needed

My students need basic class supplies(pencils, notebooks, paper, pencil sharpener, etc) in order to start the school year off successfully.

My Students

Every student has the ability to learn and by giving them basic classroom supplies, they will have the opportunity to succeed.

My students are eager to learn everything I'm teaching them.

Many students return to school without the requested supplies from the supply list, which usually are the basic supplies needed to succeed in the classroom. This includes notebooks and pencils. I have to personally go and stock up on enough supplies in order to fulfill some of the students basic back to school needs. Most parents are unable to afford the supplies.

My Project

The students will take advantage of these supplies in so many ways. I requested pencils and pens because the 5th grade students will complete many assignments. No work can be completed without them and they just seem to disappear so quickly. I also requested printing paper for the classroom printer. With a new school year upon us, my students do a lot of writing pieces that they like to type and print out for display and that can only be done when there is paper to print from the printer. I requested permanent markers because the students will utilize them in order to complete art and science projects.

The donation will improve the quality of work the students produce.

These basic supplies will ensure a successful beginning of the year, which will lead to a successful year for our next generation of leaders. All these supplies are needed to teach and will enable students to learn in a variety of different ways. In all subject areas the students will give their work meaning when using the supplies that has been donated.
