Basic Supplies Allow STEM Students to Strive!

My students need basic lab supplies in order for us to be able to do the kinds of hands-on experiences that draw out their inner scientist and allow them to see the potential that they have.

My Students

100% of students at my school receive free breakfast and lunch. Our neighborhood is very low-income, but the students are full of so much potential! Unfortunately, our school receives very little funding, and the funding that we do get is needed for basics, which means that things like lab supplies tend to be antiquated or non-existent.

My students excel and show that they have so much ingenuity and creativity that is craving an outlet whenever I am able to get them supplies for hands-on activities.

My Project

As a physical science teacher, my students can not get the big picture without getting hands-on. Unfortunately, my school is underfunded and we have very little parental involvement for a variety of reasons.

With these basic supplies, students will be able to make scientific concepts come alive and investigate physical science in an up-close and personal way, instead of the copying of PowerPoints in a dim room that they're used to.

Please consider funding these basic lab supplies for my students, so that we can make this year the one that made one child realize that she was a scientist, even if she's never seen an image of a scientist that looks like her.
