Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with students with special needs in the Bronx. I would like to provide my students with recyclable construction paper to teach students about recycling, lacing beads with pattern cards, and scissor skill development books to enhance their learning experience to learn visual motor, visual perceptual, problem-solving, handwriting, and scissor skills. The scissor skill books can be used in the classroom or the therapy room to learn cut-and-paste skills. The lacing beads and pattern cards are so helpful in enabling the kids to develop fine motor skills and social skills in the classroom and therapy gym. The students vary in age from kindergarten to fifth grade. They have developmental delays, Autism, speech delays, and other delays that impact their learning style and ability. These tools will help create a fun learning environment, motivate the children to learn and play, and will enable them to excel and learn a lot this year. Please help us provide the children with this opportunity!
