Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

This project contains the basic supplies I need for my classroom to fill in the gaps of what I already currently have. My students go through a lot of pencils, and I am complete out of pencils to start next school year. Many of my students come from low-income families and often do not come with basic school supplies to start the year. This year I went through about 1,000 pencils so this supply should be able to last the entire year.

My students prefer to use lower light when they work; I include a few strands of twinkle lights to help my students feel more comfortable in my classroom by keeping the overhead lights off but still giving enough light for them to see and work comfortably.
