I teach a class of 25 amazing second graders. They are loving, intelligent, kind, and funny. They come to school wanting to learn and become better citizens.
My students come from diverse backgrounds, and many come from families at lower income levels.
Many of my students come from challenging home environments and have limited resources at home. I also have English Learners and students with special needs such as autism, ADD, and ADHD. Many of my students do not have basic supplies to help them succeed. The one thing they all have in common is that they are eager to learn.
My Project
I would love to start off the new year with the basic supplies that my students need to use in class. I would like to replenish my stock of paper, tape, glue sticks, erasers, and highlighters in order for my students to complete class work and also use for art lessons. The laminating sheets will be used to protect papers that will be used over and over and to preserve my student's best work.

I teach special needs, gifted and talented, and second language learners in my class. As a teacher, I am always looking for new ways to involve my students in their learning. All of these supplies will be used to create engaging, interactive lessons for my students.
