Help me give my students supplies needed to help them be successful. Basic school supplies such as pencils, erasers, glue sticks and dry erase markers are key to our daily learning activities.
Our school is a Kindergarten through 12th grade, located in an urban area. Nearly all students in our school receive a free or reduced-price lunch. Our school has a limited budget with limited or no supplies. Many students do not have access to basic school supplies. I buy many supplies myself and I need help!
The students in my classroom are very curious and love to learn.
Their academic abilities vary greatly, so I'm always looking for ways to challenge those that are ready, and provide additional support to those in need.
My Project
These resources will be used every day by the students. They use dry erase markers daily for quick slate assessments/check-ins, as well as during center activities. The pencils and erasers are used often throughout the day, also, for various writing activities. Pencils and dry erase marker use are important tools as young students develop their fine motor skills. The glue sticks are also used during center activities, as well as daily classwork. Tape is used daily to help display student work, fix tears in papers, and sometimes books. Facial tissue and disinfecting wipes help to keep the students healthy and cut down on germs in the classroom and improve overall attendance.
Giving students basic supplies will ensure that all of the students in my class have the supplies and materials that they need to be successful and learn to the best of their abilities.
