I would like for my classroom to reflect my personality. I want the students to feel like they belong in there, and I want them to feel at ease in my classroom. I like to decorate my classroom for the different seasons, and my students love to help with this. I want my students to want to come to school and enjoy learning.
I teach in a small middle school located in a very rural area.
Most kids in our school fall below the national poverty line. I teach self-contained special education with a small class size of eight students. All of my students are learning at a different level from the others in the classroom. I have students in wheelchairs and students with behavior issues. My students are very active in the school. They like to help out the faculty, and they love to keep the school clean. They are a fun bunch and deserve materials to further their education.
My Project
The lack of basic school necessities that children need in school is alarming. I have several students who come to school on a daily basis without any sort of school supplies. I go through basic supplies at a very fast rate and having pencils, paper, tape and other basic supplies donated would benefit my students greatly.
Having extra supplies for my classroom will help to ensure that my students will never lack for anything that they need to succeed.
I always want my students to be successful and creative and these supplies will help them to achieve success within all of their classes.
