This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The future is bright for my students. Providing students with an array of experiences broaden their opportunities for success. My scholars are always questioning and gathering information to make meaning of the world around them. Attending school provides an unimaginable number of avenues in which information can be tapped into and provide valuable knowledge and experiences.
I have a high energy group of early elementary and middle school scholars who love exploring and learning.
They attend a Title I school where they all qualify for free breakfast and lunch. Nearly all of them come from low-income households. The classroom consists of a diverse group of scholars from typical students to those with learning disabilities. For many of my scholars, school is the only place where they have access to life's necessities. In spite of the challenges, my scholars come to school daily to a place where they are being provided with exciting learning experiences that will produce lifelong readers.
My Project
My students work hard and they love to learn. I want to ensure they have everything they need to succeed. I work in inclusion classrooms and service the kids who are special needs and/or high risk students. Ensuring that they have necessary materials is crucial for their success.
Can you imagine not having enough supplies to learn?
I don't want my students to know this feeling. These composition notebooks will be great so that they can keep ELA journals and writing notebooks throughout the semester. Sharpies are amazing for learning charts and interactive notes. Student dry erase markers and pencils are something we use on a daily basis. Please help my students receive the necessary materials to help them learn this school year.
