Basic School Supplies for Kids in Need

Help me give my students supplies to use in their classes. My co-teacher and I try to provide these supplies for our kids but our stock is beginning to dwindle.

My Students

Our classroom contains awesome children that have a variety of educational, emotional and socio-economic needs. We have children with Autism, Emotional/Behavior Disorders, Mild/Moderate MI, medical needs and other learning disabilties. Our students struggle with organization, social skills, focusing and attention issues that need repeated prompting and visual schedules.

We work intensely with our children for the three or four years that they are in middle school.

We help them transition from being little kids to young adults. Our classroom is filled with laughter, love and learning with children who need it most!

My Project

My co-teacher and I try to provide materials, such as pencils, paper, folders, notebooks, project display boards, etc. for our students who need them to use both inside and outside our classroom. We currently have about three months of school left and our stock of these supplies is beginning to run low.

Our students have various disabilities, such as mental impairments, learning disabilities, autism, emotion/behavioral disorders, etc as well as many of them come from low socioeconomic living situations.

Middle school is difficult enough without any of these conditions/factors and that is where we try to step in and help. When students have theIr need for school supplies met, they are better able to focus on being students, learning and, hopefully, enjoying their middle school years a bit more.
