This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This is the least "fancy" project I've put on this site, but perhaps the most essential. Being the middle of the year, and having very low funds, my students and I are having trouble obtaining an electric pencil sharpener and new work in progress folders.

My students come from a low-income area and Title I public school with very little funding.

Most come from families with relatively little material items, and we have a hard time getting them even the most basic of supplies. Needless to say, they are very appreciative of what I, and others, have provided to them in the past.

My Project

Our class simply needs these supplies. We've had the worst luck with electric pencil sharpeners, two have broken down, my room partner's has broken down, and going to the office or another classroom is not feasible or efficient. Also, I'm afraid many of our students' work in progress folders from the beginning of the year have been lost or have fallen apart, so those are much needed too.

This project will allow our classroom to function.

The students can get their pencils sharpened easily, and will have a place to put their many papers. With these supplies we can run like an efficient, normal, organized classroom.
