Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students at the school are one-of-a-kind. They love school just as much as the next child. The one thing that many of the students look forward to is coming to school as a way to escape reality for a little while. My students come from low, socio-economic status, inner-city, and struggle with reading, math, science, history, and social skills. I need to do all I can to help these students progress to well-developed, smart young men and women who can function effectively in the world we live in today. To effectively teach students in a wide range of levels, I need many resources. Help me bring in the necessary materials to help my students succeed in school.
The majority of the students at the school come from low-economic households.
Students and parents do not have the financial means to provide essentials and we need to help students achieve greatness.
My Project
The students at my school are just becoming aware of their bodies. The girls are getting their cycles for the first time and are not prepared for this day.
This project will give me the essentials that students need to help them with this time in their life.
Pads and snacks will help them conquer two critical areas of their cycle. Keeping them clean and helping with cravings will be important. Tracking their cycle is also very important for students who are learning to deal with this big change in life.
