It's a new school year, and we are still faced with the same problems. Paper and other materials are extremely limited! This needs to change!
I teach approximately 80 seventh and eighth grade students who live in the heart of Kentucky.
My students are high energy, very social, and enjoy group activities. They will even tell you their favorite time of the day is when they are able to spend time with their friends.
My Project
I'm requesting a supply of copy paper to be used to reinforce specific content skills. It is extremely difficult to provide the necessary visuals to my students when paper has become an issue, and it has come to that so early in the school year. With a supply of copy paper, each and every student will be provided with the necessary handouts. Also, exit slips can be created and newsletters sent home on a routine basis. It is important to keep parents informed. Also, I am requesting book bins that will allow students to help themselves to just right books during self selected reading. Students reading level will increase as a result. In addition, I'm requesting a router to be able to download the appropriate music for school wide functions to include Veterans Day, our Halloween walk, Christmas Math Literacy Night, and evening dances. Students will be confident during their performances as a result.
These materials will make a huge impact in my classroom.
No more oral explanations of what they are being asked to do. Visuals will be provided using these materials. Our new school year will go much smoother with these items. Be a part of providing these much needed materials to a wonderful group of young boys and girls.
