Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are new to our country and our state. Many are not prepared for our desert life. They want to learn and fit in here at our school. Their families are truly wonderful and trying their best.

Many of my students cannot regularly access basic items such as toiletries and clothing.

With your donation, you are helping to provide our students access to basic hygiene items, like face moisturizer, sunscreen, shower supplies, and lotion. This allows our students to take care of their physical health and remove the distractions that come with being unable to arrive clean to school. With these basic needs taken care of our students can focus more on school and their learning. We are also adding prizes for their hard work. I also created a calming corner with the requested chair and cushions. Thank you for caring for our newcomer students and helping them transition after their move to our country
