My Students

My students are learners from a struggling Appalachia area in WV. They come together in our middle school from two elementary schools, consisting of four small country towns. My students love to learn in various ways. All students learn differently. When students don’t have the proper tools, learning can be very difficult.

My students need basic supplies in order to help them learn to their fullest potential.

Being in school regularly and having necessary materials is an essential component to learning. With these tools, my students can become successful in middle school!

My Project

I have several special education students in my fifth grade class. These students often struggle with bringing basic school supplies to class. They either cannot aford to buy them, or they often lose them from point A to point B.

Help give my students the basic supplies they so desperately need to be able to be successful in the classroom.

My students need basics such as pencils, pens, and tape to complete their class projects.

My students learn best by creating interactive notebooks. In order to make these notebooks, students must use a great amount of tape. We go through this very quickly. Having a colorful graphic organizer helps my students learn key concepts and retain the information.
