This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Working in a Title I school can be very challenging, especially to our students who are in temporary housing, travel far distances to attend school, and in foster care. In my Integrated Co-Teaching classroom, it is imperative to tap into the different learning styles of each student through visuals, technology, dialogue, and more. However, with minimal resources, it can be difficult.
My students want to be able to learn in a classroom that has flexible learning styles and accessible materials to work towards their goals.
They enjoy being able to use different techniques and strategies throughout their learning. My goal as their teacher is to inspire them to be the best they can be and to create a positive and safe environment for learning.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my ICT classroom by allowing students to use different writing tools such as dry erase markers or sharpies to respond to questions on posters or white boards, learn how to mail letters, and having access to basic supplies. Having an influx of different colors will hold each student accountable during group activities.
My students would benefit from these supplies because they are responsible individuals with motivating learning intentions.
They want to be successful in the classroom and want to help their peers as well. Providing these basic supplies for our classroom would help my students be more prepared for the real world!
