This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In second grade, students learn about the world outside their windows. However, I don't have a globe to show them that world. The globes in our school are outdated and having a globe is essential in teaching the second grade social studies standard, including Geography. The other items in my project are basic needs items like pencils because so many of my students lose them; it's like losing that one sock in the dryer! The other item in this project is a stamp that makes straight lines on plain paper. I've noticed, since the pandemic, my students struggle to write neatly. I have gone back to making lines on their papers in order for them to correctly form letters and space their words. This would help me in creating these straight lines on their papers.
