Basic Necessities to Begin the School Year!

Help me give my students chair bags, book baggies, and pencil pouches to help them learn responsibility!

My Project

I am requesting some very important items that will help my students stay organized, be independent learners, and save instructional time! First, I am requesting seat sacks. On any given day, my students will use their writing folder, an iPad, a morning work folder, and a math activity book. Right now, these materials are either in their small cubby or a labeled basket. It would be so much easier if they could be placed in a seat sack. The pencil pouches I am requesting will also be placed in their seat sacks. The baskets will hold papers at each table. These items will provide a place right at their tables to hold all of the things they use throughout the school day!!

Learning how to be organized is crucial at any age but starting in kindergarten gives them a head start.

This will also give them more time to learn instead of retrieving and returning materials all day.

I have a class of energetic, enthusiastic, and amazing students. Our school is a Title I school and most students come from low-income or poverty-stricken homes. All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many are English language learners, while some have special needs. These students come to school eager to learn every day with big smiles on their faces, regardless of their circumstances.
