My Students

My classroom is full of 18 incredible 4-year-olds.

They are a very inquisitive diverse group of children who log on to Zoom every day with the help of their families ready to learn and explore.

We anticipate returning to the classroom in January, but if not, virtual learning will continue.

The children in my classroom love to read and being read to. The library area is one of our most popular centers, giving them a chance to use their imagination and visit the places in the books they are reading.

My co-teacher and I encourage them to share with one another and to calmly discuss differences or conflicts on our friendship bench and to help each other because we are a classroom family.

My Project

The materials I have chosen are either missing in the classroom or in desperate need of replacement from being loved by the children over the years.

New felt story pieces are needed to add to the library center for story time a popular activity during center time.

Markers are constantly being used in the art center as well as during small groups as the children draw, write and share their artwork with the class and their families. Each child also needs their own sturdy pencil box to keep their own crayons, pencils, markers and scissors in for their own personal use.
