My school has a high percentage of free and reduced-price lunch recipients.
We also have a large diversity of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. This year, I have a mixed ability group consisting of nine boys and eleven girls. Some have grasped reading skills at a faster rate than others, and some need a little more time. They are eager to learn.
My Project
I am requesting basic art supplies for my students. I like to link social studies and science to art to make it come to life. Research shows that art and music help students to remember skills and standards better. We also need pencil sharpener for our classroom pencils. In a room full of first graders there is a need to always sharpen pencils. Students are always loosing pencils or breaking their pencil leads. it is never ending. These supplies will help my students in their everyday task rather it be art or just having to write. Thank you so much!
