Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is very under-resourced, and many of the daily supplies that other teachers and students take for granted are not easily come by for us.
I would like to secure materials to continue some things that have been effective in my sixth grade classroom, as well as to begin some new programs.
This proposal, when fully funded, will send the following items to my classroom:
-2 staplers (for students to staple their homework assignments together in order to keep track of them)
-2 clipboards (for students to use in their responsibility-based class jobs such as taking attendance)
-dry erase markers (to continue the use of mini-white boards, which benefit each student)
-golf pencils (for students who forget or do not have another pencil)
-index cards (for students to practice vocabulary)
-ink pads and stamps (for students to check each others' work and mark completed work)
-math careers poster set (to encourage math education for my students)
-fractions, percentages, and decimals posters (to increase learning on these subjects for visual learners)
-clear tape (for use in science projects and math foldable activities)
-easel (for displaying content-based posters, directions, announcements, student work, etc.)
