This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a third grade teacher at a Title I, K-8 span school. Majority of our students participate in the free breakfast, lunch, and supper program.

We have a tight-knit community of teachers, staff, parents and local neighborhood families that believe in the importance of education.

Our school's mission is to provide a world-class education for all students by ensuring a safe, nurturing, and collaborative student-centered environment that fosters student achievement, values effort, and promotes social justice.

My 24 students are energetic, eager to learn and look at each day as a day to learn something new.

My Project

It's back to school! However, this year looks a lot different than years past. Students will be learning from home which means many students may not have the basic supplies necessary to show their learning.

Having the basics is the last thing we want our students to worry about.

There is nothing like starting a new year with new supplies readily available.

I am requesting simple items such as pencils, glue sticks, notebooks, clipboards, and markers which will come in handy during online interactive lessons and during independent work time too. The zipper pouches will allow for students to keep all of their items in one tidy place.
