Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious, creative, and full of energy. They love to express themselves through drawing, coloring, and building—and they thrive when given the space and tools to do so. In our art lessons, we explore how colors, textures, and shapes can bring ideas to life. However, we are currently limited on basic supplies and seating options that support active learners.

We need essential art supplies like glue sticks and class sets of markers so that every student can participate fully in our creative activities.

These tools are used daily, and we go through them quickly as we explore different art techniques and projects.

In addition to materials, I want to create a more inclusive and flexible learning environment. Many of my students focus better when they have seating options that allow them to move while they work. Wobble seats would give them the ability to stay engaged during both art and academic tasks, especially those who have difficulty sitting still in traditional chairs.

With your support, we can build a classroom that encourages creativity and movement—where students feel comfortable, supported, and inspired to express themselves through art.
