My Project

Our baseball program works to develop all areas of the student-athlete by being taught to play baseball in a non-judgmental environment, focusing on the effort and improvement of each individual regardless of personal skill level. We are dedicated to unlocking the potential of our student-athletes through our after-school programming. We strive to deliver a program that will teach our players personal integrity and accountability. For many of the student-athletes we serve, our after-school baseball program is the only opportunity they have to play a team sport. It is an opportunity for them to play an organized sport with their peers in a safe and structured setting. Like many schools where funding for extracurricular activities has been cut, our team lacks the funding to purchase new baseballs.

Our students cannot equitably compete against other teams when they lack the fundamental equipment like baseballs for practice and games.

Our student-athletes will use the bucket of balls for practice and it will provide them with enough balls to be able to play catch and throw in pairs. The bucket will also allow for them to be easily collected, stored, and transported to and from the field. The boxes of balls will be used for game play. If you've ever played baseball before, you know practice balls get wet, muddy, and beat up. The boxes of balls will allow for clean, pristine balls to be used for games.

Every student deserves to have the opportunity to participate in an athletic program, regardless of their zip code. These baseballs will help to level the playing field for our students so they can compete competitively.
