These items (sensory toys, soft seating, mindfulness cards, etc.) will be used to help students to calm themselves in times of crisis. Students use these to help calm themselves in confrontation. They know where the items are to access them quickly. The goal is to keep students at school instead of having to send them home due to panic attacks.
My project would help to take care of the entire student body.
We could add a small game room to help. We are also soliciting donations for the game room to make it a safe place for students who struggle with anxiety.
