I teach second grade with 18 students. Each year I have the students write an autobiography. They write their final copies on plain paper which is bound with plastic binding. These are very special books that hopefully they'll save from year to year. I am requesting a class set of "Bare Books" in which the students can write their final copy of their autobiography into instead of the flimsy paper we have used in the past. These books have hard covers which would help make them last longer. (Hopefully forever!) I think the students would take even more pride in creating their autobiography if they each had their own Bare Book to write their final copy in. How fun for them to share with their parents a project that they really took pride in finishing! And, the book would last for a long time! I would encourage them to share it with their own children someday! Maybe even their grandchildren! Thank you very much for your consideration in funding this fun and meaningful project.
