This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are high school juniors who are eager to learn the real-world skills that will prepare them for life after graduation. I love how curious they are, how they ask thoughtful questions, and how they push themselves to connect what they’re learning in class to the careers and opportunities they dream about. They inspire me every day with their energy, creativity, and determination.

This is the first year I am teaching Financial Services at our school, and I want to set my students up for success from the very beginning.

With your help, I can create a classroom that is not only organized and engaging, but also filled with tools that bring financial literacy to life.

The resources I’m requesting will make this new program hands-on and interactive. With these supplies, students will collaborate on projects that simulate real-world financial situations. Organizational items like binders, protectors, and lamination sheets will allow us to reuse activities for years to come, ensuring this program continues to grow. Technology tools, like a GoPro with tripod and extra batteries, will help students record presentations, while an air purifier will create a clean and healthy space for learning.

With your support, this brand-new Financial Services course can provide students with the confidence, problem-solving skills, and financial knowledge they need to pursue future college and career opportunities. Together, we can build something truly lasting for these students and for many more to come.
