This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are looking forward to another great year in band, starting with our awesome Band Camp! Our newest member come to experience the joy of being a part of our band for the first time, and everyone is welcome. Our district is able to provide all of our band students with everything they need to succeed, free of charge (with the help of generous donors from Donors Choose of course!)-instruments, music, reeds, etc. No one is ever charged a fee to participate in band.
We would like to keep that tradition going by providing matching band shirts to wear to concerts and events, free of charge to the students.
Students earn these shirts by showing up to perform in public, even if it's a short performance for parents after Band Camp. Everyone would like to have one, and everyone can earn one! With your help, our band students can look their best -- and look like a team-- in matching t-shirts. Thank you for your help with this project.
