This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At our high school, our band program is more than just music, it's a place where students grow, build confidence, and form lifelong friendships. As a low-income school, we face many challenges when it comes to funding, but our commitment to providing enriching experiences for our students remains unwavering. Band camp is a vital part of that journey. It helps develop discipline, teamwork, and school pride. This year, we’re seeking support to enhance our camp experience with meaningful, fun, and safe activities because our kids deserve the best, no matter their financial background.

We are requesting donations or supplies to help us create a memorable and engaging camp.

Specifically, we’d love to provide tie-dye t-shirt kits for a creative bonding activity, and set up a hydration station to keep our students safe and healthy as they practice for hours under the summer sun. These small additions make a huge impact, boosting morale and showing our students that their hard work matters. Any help, big or small, goes directly toward inspiring and supporting our amazing young musicians. Thank you for believing in them with us.
