My Project

The listed materials here are needed in order to create a band program for my 5th-grade music students. There was a band program in the past here and we are working to bring it back... we just need some more supplies. In storage, we currently possess some flutes and clarinets, but are still in need of brass instruments and percussion to take our group from a woodwind choir to a full band!!

The priciest piece of this will obviously be the instruments: 2 trombones, 2 trumpets, and some percussion would be swell to kick things off this year.

In addition to instruments, students also need books and some other accessories in order to be successful. Having a band program for my 5th-grade students will bring music making, fun, and team-building to the lives of these students. Learning to play an instrument can help with social and emotional learning, brain development, coordination, and can also raise test scores! Students will learn the importance of practice and be better prepared for their middle school band programs. Thank you so much for considering contributing!
