Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our Pre-K class is made up of students who love to move their bodies and "get their wiggles out" through physical activity. Once they've spent enough time attending to their physical activity needs, they are more focused on learning!
These four and five-year-olds are bustling with energy and a love for life!
Balls are incredibly popular with my kiddos. They love to throw, kick and even lie down on balls! Sturdy balls made for these kind of basic activities, along with a secure place to house the balls will ensure longevity to this beloved equipment.
My Project
Physical movement is not only vital to social and motor skill development in children, but it also promotes cognitive and emotional well being. Our Pre-K class is made up of students who love to move their bodies and "get their wiggles out" through physical activity. Once they've spent enough time attending to their physical activity needs, they are more focused on learning! We are in desperate need of playground balls (sturdy, bouncy balls and soccer balls) and ball pumps. Additionally, we could benefit from the addition of indoor exercise balls for our crazy, Oklahoma weather extremes. A sturdy ball locker is a must to protect our beloved ball bundle!
