Balls That Are Soft for Kids Who Are Young!

My students need several different soft balls to play with at recess as they are young and love to play ball.

My Students

I have the opportunity to teach in a small rural town where most people grew up together, went to school together, and families are still living close together. The people here are hard working people who want their children raised to be kind, good, employable adults who will contribute to society while continuing to raise their families in solid traditions. Students play hard and are friends with all their neighbors. Playing together is a common pastime.

The students at my school love to run, play and sport all types of games using balls.

They are at all different levels in their physical abilities, but they love to move and engage in real and imaginative games using balls. They play hard and use their recess time to its fullest.

The students at my school need a chance to have balls available to them to play in the different ways they want to play according to their different abilities and preferences.

My Project

I am requesting soft balls for the students at my school. The students at my school are young and need balls that are soft so they don't get hurt when they play. They love to play kick ball, catch, and their own made up games. I am also asking for soft footballs for which they can play. The balls will be used at recess. The balls we have now are all hard. The students don't really like them because they hurt them when they play. We have one soft ball in the group of 100 first grade children I supervise during noon recess. One! So many children want that ball and beg for that ball daily. We also have pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and second grade students attending my school.

I am asking that someone with a big, kind heart donate to my project so that the young students who attend my school can all have a chance at playing with a round ball or football that is soft during their recess time.

The students would be so grateful and it recess would be a much happier place if balls that were soft were available. Thank you so much for considering this project to help make recess more enjoyable for young students!
