My Students

My class is made up of 18 very energetic boys and girls. We encourage them to be themselves and to see similarities and differences in all the children in the classroom. We encourage them to break stereotypes. We want them to be accepting of other genders and cultures. We are in need of some new and updated supplies. Every year wear and tear shows up on our favorite things. The children enjoy what we have in the classroom and what we use outside for fun.

My Project

My Pre-k students visit either the inside gym or the outside play area, everyday, for gross motor play. They need a variety of things to keep them engaged. Right now the children frequently play with our trikes, but they lack in basic skills. My students do not know how to throw and catch balls. They do not have access to scooters or hoops. The children would love the bean bag game, as well as the bowling pins and bowling balls game. Some of my little ones need the special sensory balls to help them when they practice throwing and catching.
