Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students will use tennis balls to practice basic catching and throwing skills while working on hand-eye coordination. We will use the basketballs to practice basic dribbling and shooting skills in groups and through games. Good old-fashioned red playground balls as well as soccer balls will be used to play games and also to practice bouncing and passing skills with both hands and feet.
We currently lack enough of these types of balls in order to do group activities with them and play relay type games which will add fun to our daily physical education lessons.
Having a tennis, playground, and basketballs will allow me to differentiate my physical education instruction and provide a wide variety of interesting, engaging and fun activities that build much-needed skills.
