Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a Montessori with 7 pre-K to Kindergarten classes, 6 lower elementary classes (grades 1st-3rd), and 4 upper elementary classes (grades 4th-6th). Each class comes with mixed interests, abilities, and goals.

I model my class around creating relationships, building skills, and teaching students to live happy active lives.

My students are inquisitive and eager to learn new things. Each child who enters my class is beaming with joy and excitement. Their happiness is infectious and I am proud to call them my students.

My Project

I am struggling with a lack of funding for my class. My budget does not allow me to replace broken, and much needed equipment to enhance students learning and engagement. It's going to be great to have a variety of different size foam balls which are safe and effective in teaching students to throw and catch without the anxiety of being hurt by the ball. The variety of different sized balls will allow me to reach every student and grade levels. I will mostly be using the balls to teach students how to throw and catch, a much needed skill to move on to more advanced games and activities!
