Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students all receive speech therapy services, some also receive occupational therapy and physical therapy as well!

Many of my students receive free and reduced-price lunch.

They range from age 3 to 21 years old. This project benefits all of my students. The students may range in severity from a mild speech and language disorder to a more severe disorder, possibly non-verbal. All of my students enjoy time with the speech pathologist. They are full of energy and smiles!

My Project

Many children who receive speech therapy benefit from the use of different seating to improve core strength and to improve their balance. Balance activities are important for motor speech disorders and also improve sustained reading ability. Our classroom needs new balls and balance chairs. Please consider helping us today.

In addition, the physical and occupational therapists who share space will additionally benefit from the use of these materials.

The bright colors will warm the rest of the winter days. The books will complement our multicultural helper puppets which were funded by another DonorsChoose Project.
