My students need equipment for basketball practice and games equipment for learning and becoming better with strengthing and developing fundamental skills, because all the things we had in the school is now damaged from the storm.
I coach elementary basketball at a school in Port Arthur, TX. I have three basketball teams here, girls team, boys A team and boys B team. My kids all come from difficult neighborhoods around the city. We have a great group kids who are very athletic with high hopes and dreams for success. Our Girls, Boys A and Boys B teams have had back-to-back Championships here, so the kids look forward for the season every year. Basketball at our school is not just a sport for the kids, it's more than just a game for the kids, it's family away from family, or maybe the love the kids don't receive at home, It keeps grades up and behavior together in class. Recently our city of Port Arthur was hit by a Hurricane and it damaged our city. Most of all, it damaged our school and we have lost all equipment due to the storm, including basketballs, shooting equipment, etc. Any help is needed. Thank you in advance.
My Project
Basketball period helps our kids. It keeps them focused and well behaved for teachers. The kids here enjoying learning the game of basketball training to become better athletics as well as the support the kids receive from other students as well as parents and teachers.
Adams kids are 3x Basketball champions and we are family away from home, love that we may not receive, The kids enjoy being apart of a organization inside of the school helps them remain focus.
We need these materials to help our students get back in the rhythm give the something to look forward to after the disaster that took place and destroyed our school.
