Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The Finch Robots and software will allow students to experiment with coding on their device and watch their code come to life on the robot. Because these robots are for K-12 students, there is a very low-floor and high-ceiling. This means the coding tasks and embedded activities on the Finch robot will allow students to work at a level that is perfectly challenging to them. This applies for students with zero coding experience as well as those who have been coding for years.

While technology is important in our modern day, I try to balance screen time with STEAM activities that involve students manipulating various materials to create an art form, structure, or solve a problem.

For this reason, I've also included Snap Circuits, K'Next, and a number of hands-on building sets that will allow for students to use teamwork and problem-solving to build various structures.
