This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As an educator deeply committed to providing the best learning environment for my students, I am seeking your support in acquiring wobble chairs for my 4th grade classroom.

Wobble chairs offer a unique solution to the challenges of traditional classroom seating.

These chairs will provide an innovative alternative to seating by allowing students to move and shift their weight while remaining seated. This will undoubtedly increase my students comfortability, but the benefits of these chairs will extend beyond that. By allowing students to engage in subtle movements, wobble chairs promote better posture, core strength, and overall physical well-being. Research has shown that incorporating movement into the learning environment can enhance cognitive function, attention, and retention of information. For my fourth-grade students, who are at a crucial stage in their academic development, these benefits could make a significant difference in their ability to focus, participate, and succeed in the classroom.

Furthermore, these chairs will free up much-needed space in the classroom. With a classroom of 24 students in fourth grade, their chairs, backpacks, and desks can make the room feel crowded and disorganized. Having wobble chairs that can fit under their desk and replace some of the more inconvenient placement of normal chairs, will help to create an organized clean space for them to learn in.

Together, we can create a classroom where every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
