it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My fourth graders are a bilingual bunch that enjoy exploring books in both English and Spanish . They are unique because their brains work twice as much to understand two languages. My students need resources to strengthen their bilingualism. These students reside in the North-west side Logan Square neighborhood.

Being bilingual has so many benefits not only for the child, but for everyone surrounding them. This amazing gift has enabled them to understand the world in two different languages.
My Project
My students need flexible seating options while reading. While students read, I would enjoy giving them more options of flexible seating. With the frigid temperatures during a Chicago winter, students need to feel they can move around. They will not be given time outside to play therefore leaving them very restless while in school.
With new balance balls as desk chairs, students can move around while also engaging their core muscles.
Students need more movement than adults. Students are sitting on chairs many hours in a day. With an additional seating options, students can move around while doing their work and be more engaged in lessons.
