Are you ready to empower young minds and inspire a generation of future scientists? Our classroom is buzzing with excitement as we embark on a thrilling scientific journey in the study of chemistry, and we need your support to make learning meaningful and exciting! We are reaching out to the generous donors of the world through DonorsChoose.org to help us acquire digital balance scales.
This project is a school-wide cross curriculum project that will benefit all students in math and science.
Using Carolina Biological Balance Scales will allow me the opportunity to immerse my students in a more efficient way of measuring and understanding gravity, mass, and volume of matter. By weighing various elements, my students will be able to foster a deeper understanding of the world around us. This hands-on approach technological approach will not only spark their curiosity but also give them an opportunity to appreciate the significance of natural resources and our environment.
My students demonstrate an extensive knowledge base in science and are able to relate that knowledge base to new problems and topics. As a result of their knowledge base, application of knowledge, and enthusiasm for hands on minds on learning, the goals of this grant is to ensure that my students (1) use the digital scales to reinforce mathematical concepts, define, and /or solve problems and (2) makes generalizations and assumptions based on data results.
