My students are not only on their way to meeting and surpassing their grade-level and IEP (individual education plan) goals, but also growing into bright, open-minded, kind-hearted, and curious citizens every single day. We have grown leaps and bounds this year and I'm excited to see what they accomplish in the future.
My class consists of some of the most bright, enthusiastic, hard-working students with special needs I have ever worked with.
Despite their adversities, they have come so far and have accomplished so much. Needless to say, they have taught me so much this year and they inspire me every day to learn and grow as a teacher. We are especially blessed to be at a school that is extremely understanding and supportive of Special Education. When we have our not-so-good days, we know that every day is a new day and we are surrounded by people who care so much about us.
My Project
My students are very active and often have difficulty focusing in class. They are always fidgeting in their chairs. When my students sit on these balance balls, their minds will be engaged to keep their bodies balanced on the balls. When their minds are stimulated and their bodies are calm, my students can be more focused on learning. Studies have been done that show students with attention challenges typically focus better when sitting on these balance balls instead of chairs.
Your donation, no matter how small, can make the difference in my students' lives.
You have the ability to contribute to their overall wellness, health, and education. I will be replacing my students' chairs with their balance balls, so that they can use them every day.
