This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are incredible! They overcome the odds by coming from very low-income areas, foster homes and even homelessness but still don't give up on their futures. Many of these students have big dreams to go to college, learn about the sciences and obtain science-related careers.
Often these students don't get a chance to use quality equipment for school and this project would provide them with some equipment to use the Engineering Design Process.
This project includes a set of 90 2-liter rockets that students would be able to engineer rockets out of. They will use these to test, make predictions and demonstrate the 3rd law of motion. They will also employ the use of the Engineering Design Process by building multiple prototypes.
