Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are four and five years old and for many of them it is their first school experience. They are inquisitive, smart, and kind students who need positive role models and positive first school experiences to ensure their success.
My students are enthusiastic learners who greet me with a smile every morning, making it a joy to come to work.
They come from a working class community, where school is often the only place to interact with peers their age. In my classroom, I try to provide as many opportunities as possible for my students to have enriching experiences that will make them love school.
My Project
The requested materials directly and indirectly facilitate learning in engaging ways for my students. In a class of 4 and 5-year-olds, color is an important part of it. Every item requested will help make our classroom a more engaging and color-filled place. Post-its, markers, and plenty of paper will make for happy TK-ers.
Ranging from the colored pencils they will love, the pencil grips to help them learn proper pencil grip and aid them in writing, and down to the laminating pouches to cover and protect their beautiful work and printable games, every single supply will be used effectively by the students or FOR the students.
