Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My third graders attend a public school in an urban district. It is a Title I school, and 100% of the students qualify for a free or reduced-price lunch. Coming from an urban district and a Title I school, my students do not have as many supplies and opportunities as students in the surrounding districts.

This year, I have 25 inquisitive and eager students, many of whom are not on grade level.

They include SPED, English Language Learners, and LTSS students, but they are always ready to learn. My students are full of energy and their creativity shines through in all of the work that they do. They soak up everything you put out.

My goal is to make their VIRTUAL school experience meaningful and fun while also setting high expectations and providing a safe, loving environment for all of my students, no matter their circumstances. Your donations mean more than you will ever fully understand!

My Project

Remember going to school every day before COVID-19 and having an abundance of materials in my classroom. I was lucky enough to have the same materials available to me at home. Unfortunately, my students do not have this same luxury and with the return ti the classroom in the Fall this is important.

The resources I have requested will benefit my students in a variety of ways!

The pencils, tape, dry erase markers, pencil holders, baggies, masks, headphones and such will allow students to complete daily activities in school. The digital clock will keep them focused and on task, the baggies will allow them to keep their supplies at their desk. Masks and wipes will keep us clean and safe. Headphones will allow each of my students to be at a different spot according to their needs. The materials requested in this project are everyday necessities that many people take for granted but would help my students out immensely! It will eliminate one of the many challenges the students face on a daily basis especially with all the unknowns for the Fall. They wouldn't need to worry and will be as prepared as I can be!

Donations to my project will make teaching the fundamentals to my third graders much easier!
