My Project

Due to the pandemic and COVID-19, our Kindergarten classroom is many children's first outside of the home experience. The pandemic has shaped their early learning experiences as well as their academic and social and emotional learning needs.

Although their experiences through the pandemic have shaped these learners, they love many of the same things!

The most critical component of my job during this time is to bring joy to children's learning experience by helping learning come to life! The markers, cardstock, construction paper, and laminating pouches will provide inspiration as we create, learn, and build our confidence. The Elephant and Piggie books as well as Pete the Cat Crayons Rock and In the Middle of Fall will provide inspiration as we continue to build our love of books and use them for inspiration for creating!

They will provide opportunities for children to create and engage with their learning as we not only build our confidence as independent learners, but as children who have a choice in how they create! These materials will also provide experiences that allow them to acknowledge, understand, and regulate the many emotions they constantly experience due to how the pandemic has shaped their early lives as we continue to build our classroom community and school family that creates a safe space for our learning.
