My Students

My class is full of creative, energetic, hard-working students. They love reading books, cracking jokes, coloring pictures, making art projects, and learning new things. They are very curious and are constantly asking questions.

As a special education teacher, most of my students are below grade level and are working hard to catch up to their peers.

Our Title I school has more than eighty percent of our population receiving free or reduced-price lunch. More than half of our students are English language learners. It's important to give these students a quality education early, to instill a love of learning while they are still young.

School should be a place where students feel safe and are able to gain skills and knowledge that will help them be successful in future careers. I strive to give them as many opportunities to learn these things as I can.

My Project

My students love to learn and we need materials to make that happen! I strive to make my lessons as engaging as possible. My classroom is full of students with special needs who are behind academically. They are working frantically to learn the content that they need to so they can close the gap between themselves and their peers.

Supplies are a necessity of every classroom.

These pencils and erasers will help my students while they practice long division or solve ratio story problems. The expo markers will allow them to quickly show their answers and make changes painlessly. The colored paper will help spice up the notes that go home and make them more visible in messy backpacks. The glue sticks and markers will be used in art projects, phonics practices, and other countless classroom activities. The sticky notes and hole punch will help me stay organized as I plan for the weeks.

All of these basic materials will be used daily as my students learn. Thank you for helping me make learning interesting and engaging!
